Well it was a fairly good night at Wags, I headed home at 6:00 am to start breakfast after only 7 hours of shopping. The first two stores were tough to get through because of the crowds but the crowds were tame, they still had there carts full but they were quite so no pictures from the jungle. Since I cut the shopping trip short the numbers are a bit smaller than I would like to have. But the out come was GREAT. It looks like this

I did not bother to figure the Retail price but the total sale value was $274.45, small but I’m happy with it for now.
On the way out this evening I stopped by a couple of my friendly local Walmarts and made a couple dollars to spend at Walgreens. I picked up some trial size tide and profited $13.36 for spending money. Not yet sure how many stores I hit but am guessing 10. I only needed to cancel one transaction due to a new checker at one location. Okay she may not be new but she has not had the fortune of dealing with me yet. I’m guessing she will remember me though. First of all there were two customers and two store associates in the store I approached the associate as she was stocking shelves and asked for the location of a product. She pointed across the store and said all of the deals are over there, Wrong answer. I headed over there watching for flashing lights and a big neon sign but did not se one so I retuned to this associate and once again ask for the location. She looked at me as if I was a dummy and stopped stocking and walked me to with in 15 foot of the end cap and said all of the deals are there. I proceeded to the location and the product I was after was not there so I once again returned to this freakin idiot and asked for the product by name. She looked at me and Said “I don’t know were it is, the manager may know” and then turned and continued stocking. Well I’m sorry but homey don’t play well with idiots so I asked in a not so friendly tone where is the manager? She Replied “I’m not sure” and once again returned to stocking. After a short pause to talk my self out of smacking this women I asked if she could find him for me. She then walked to the register and paged him to Register #1 and I was by the Pharmacy. DUH what are you STUPID. Fortuneitly the manager showed up and showed me the product, I finished my shopping and then moved to the register and guess who shows up to ring me out, Yep Goofy. Surprisingly she correctly completed my first transaction and handed me my RRs so I presented the second transaction to her and she scanned the items and out of no where reached under the counter and pulled a Thermacare catalina that was currently printing out covered the second half of the bar code (it was for two count or larger) and scanned it. Well that did it as far as I was concerned, Time to explode and ruin her morning. I asked “What did you just do? She smiled and said “Saved you $2.00” After short moment to figure I replied “Nope you just cost me $1.42 more than I’m willing to pay.” She for sure did not understand how a $2.00 coupon cost me rather than saved me money. I demanded that she void the coupon and she asked “Why” I asked her “ Did I hand you that coupon?” No I gave it to you she replied. Then take it back I do not want it. Well things were getting a little tense since she forgot how to provide Customer service when I asked for help and then she figured that she would impress me by sneaking a coupon through by covering the product info on the coupon. After I asked her to void the coupon she had the nerve to inform me that she could not do that, as she put it “It is to late to do that” Strike Two, Wrong answer again. Well the manager must have been close by and hearing what was going on because as I asked for the manager he appeared from around the corner. So at this point my transaction was scanned as were my two mfg coupons and I had presented her 2 $2.00 RRs. Well when the manager pulled the regidter tape to view the transaction there was a $2.50 RR, 2 $2.00 RRs a $2.75 RR and my two MFG coupons. I informed the manager of what I handed her and she but in and informed me that I was Wrong. Strike three, your out!!! I looked at the manager and demanded that he canceled the entire transaction and returned me the RRs and MFG coupon that dumbo says I used. Well at this point I think he had figured out that something was not right and offered to cancel and re ring the transaction but I refused and asked for my coupons and RRs. So with out buying a thing I Made a $5.35 profit. As normal I smiled, wished them both a great Thanksgiving and headed out the door.
So even long after the Extremes headed home to get their sleep I was able to find trouble and came out of it with a profit. I love it when that happens. Sorry back to the numbers.
Well it seems I was a bit rusty because I endup with a few transaction over my limit of $0.10 but since I knew that it was my figurin I ate it but it still worked out well for my first trip back in a while.
As mentioned I started with $13.36 in free money and no RRs, I ended up with $274.45 in product, Spent $17.32 out of my pocket and came home with $74.25 in RRs. and as if that was not good enough The was a Catalina printing on every transaction for a free Red Box Rental. So add to that !7 free movie rentals. Have I ever mention how much I love Walgreens, extremes or not? so if you take the free money from my OOP I spent $3.96. take that from the $74.25 in RRs I earned it looks like a $70.29 profit.
A small step but a successful one.
