I first went to customer service and they said no, it had to be $12.00 after coupons. I explained that I've used coupons before (always is more like it) and received the catalina. She then huffily called the manager, they said again, that it had to be $12.00 after coupons. I then asked for the corporate customer service number. When I called them, they said that they 'stood behind whatever the manager said to me'. Corporate then transferred me back to the store, where the manager said that he would look into it and call me back. Two hours later he called me back and said that with any offer like this, you had to meet it after all coupons were applied '100% of the time'.
I did a deal that should have had a catalina print last week. I made sure the there was a solid green light on cat machine before starting my scanning.....
No cat printed. I asked the cashier at self scan and she said "yeah, that one hasn't been printing cats...." (!!!!!). She sent me to customer service.
They took the products and scanned them through their register and generated the cats at CS. I dunno how they did it....I guess they voided the transaction after cats printed? That is the first time I have seen them do this.....

wow. All I can say is they are full of it! Im sorry about your experience.
When I answer questions like this, I like to think about what would I do if it were me. In this case, I would have went to the same lane made the same purchase without coupons just to prove either them or me wrong, If it printed I would have said I am sorry, The System must have changed, If it did not print, I would have had them refund the first order and attempt in a new lane.
In my experience working with Meijer Systems, the qualifying purchase is always before discounts.
