i believe that i have Q'itis - do u

i am publicly going on record on defining a new (but fun) condition called Q'itis.

Q'itis is when one thinks constantly about saving money and Q, to the dergee that one will make little slips of the mouth, and have thier nighbors or kids talking about u.

my symptoms are:

my 4 yr old will sometimes ask to go to garage sales

when putting a diaper on my 2 yr old while in the midst of getting rid of expired Q i told my DH " well now i have to put a Q on him"

neighbors now say that i am the 'go to person for the deals' and tell thier DH that they should have me teach them about how to shop

so now that this condition has a proper name- i ask u -

IM GUILTY!!

If I even buy 1 item with no coupon I get all anxious, start sweating, its like I needed my fix. If I had a coupon for that item all would be good! Its so funny bc I haven't gotten a coupon for free produce in a while and now Im like what I gotta pay for my veggies and fruits now, whats up with that!!

And when your kids introduce you as coupon queen instead of mom to everyone!!

I can completly agree... I feel like I payed too much if it is full price. I just do not feel good about it. Last Thursday I got my oil changed and I talked them down 7 $. I just do not want to have to pay full price.

Sooo quick question, If I get all these great deals.. pay only pennies and turn around and give some as gifts. Do you think the giftee would be upset or discouraged? (Most know of my frugal ways) *Thinking XMAS already*

their is lots that u can do to save money at xmass - i will start a theard for that under the 'day to day' section

Let me just say that I was not excited about coupons but my sister is always using coupons and she has a huge pantry always giving me things and such but as she kept bugging to teach me Im like why do I need that much stuff? I still live with my parents until next year when I move out for college. But then she had a yard sale and made $300 on a windy, cold saturday. I helped her out and was amazed at all the stuff she sold she had gotten so cheap or free.

I knew then I wanted to learn and boy am I addicted!!!!
I want to go shopping all the time now for "FREE" stuff and I have even gotten free food to help my mom. I also have been able to donate to a family friend who needs the help. School supplies, the A1 from this week hamburger, tons of secret from Kmart, soo much stuff. I have started even helping others save by selling some items to them for next to nothing to cover the cost and such.

Its so awesome!!! I hope to be able to get lots of coupons this winter (yes I am willing to freeze to save thats Q itis)!
I still get that funny feeling when I am about to check out and then my total goes to liek $80 something and I get nervous and then they scan the coupons and its like $5 !! Did this at Kmart

Sorry so long but just coming from someone who really didn't want to learn but is so excited I did and am really prepared for being on my own. I am still biting myself about the Garnier that was free earlier this year. My sis got soooooo much and I love it but I got none. I just started about 3 months ago and then found this site and I just can't stop! WOW

i too will be out thier FREEZING for those Q

however i will proably only go through the bins when they get to be full- as that is when it is the easiest (try say friday)
however before then i would love to find some perement gator trailors by me

think about it no wind really and somwhat insulated
