People on several other sites are reporting some glitchy things with +UP rewards and I wanted to give you some scoop so you can avoid it. This week is a great week and people are buying large quantities of items that generate +UP. However, Rite Aid's system apparently has some sort of issue with transactions that generate a large amount of +UPs. It seems that transactions that generate 26 +UP rewards or less (I'm not talking about the dollar amount, but the actual quantity of +UP on your receipt) are fine. However, with larger quantities of items (27 or more) sometimes the register doesn't print any +UP for the transaction at all. For this reason, I recommend splitting your transactions into smaller groups to avoid this issue. Even when there are no limits posted in the ad, I've called customer service to report not getting +UP (the Celestial Seasonings tea deal) and have been told certain deals are one per customer. If you have to call customer service about multiple non-printing +UP you may not receive them, so I recommend trying to ensure that they print in the first place.

Sometimes Rite Aid customer service doesn't give great info, so unfortunately I can't confirm or shed any additional light on this. I do want to note as well that you should always try to fix a non-printing +UP issue at store level. Did you know that every call to corporate where a store number is given counts as a complaint against the store (unless you're calling to give kudos to the store)? Most managers are willing to fix the problem in the store. I know when the +UP didn't print for the Finish/Air Wick deal a few months ago I mentioned it to the store manager and she fixed it for me right there. I know not every store is good with customer service, so you may not be able to do this but it's worth a shot. Unfortunately RA can't force print +UP like CVS and Walgreens can with ECB and RR, but most stores will do a gift card or a cash return. |
