There are a couple different kinds of "Target coupons". Some of them are actual Target coupons. Those can't be scanned at other stores. You'll recognize them because the barcodes look funky and they don't start with a 5 or a 9. Plus, they usually say "Target Web Coupon" at the top. Then there are manufacturer coupons with a Target logo that you can print from their site. These barcodes begin with '5' or '9'. Those can potentially be used elsewhere because they are true manufacturer coupons. I've never even tried these elsewhere because stores don't seem to understand the difference. Plus, they're usually the same ones you can print from coupons.com without the Target logo. |

RE: Meijer Brags
There is a Meijer near me that chooses to accept RR as they are MQ. There is another meijer 5 miles from this one that absolutely refuses to accept them.
As far as other coupons with store logos...if it says can ONLY be used at Target than it should only be used there. If it says use at Target that is a suggestion to use them at that store. It is very important to use coupons according to the wording on them not the pictures presented. Let me help you Save

RE: Meijer Brags
Well, she was told by her manager that if it took it it was fine. They have a counterfit coupons to look at when needed (eventhough it might not be completely up to date). Like I said being that they are mfg coupons they will get their money back. The mfg is not going to pay back one store and not the other. Yes, the only reason I used it is because it does not say it has to be used at a specific store. On another note. When I had called and asked the Systems Manager she was actually unsure about it at first and then just said no. No looking into it to find out...just assumed no. She didn't even know what a Register Reward was
Like, I said I will call and find out for sure just to make sure Im not costing the store money. I used one for $2 for that reason. I had asked the manager and cashier that were working and they said to go ahead and try it bc they have been told if it scans take it. The Meijer I shop at computer system is very good with coupons. It kicks out alot. Plus, anytime you go through self checkout the coupons have to be approved since you are doing it yourself. I know Meijer is only in certain states that is what I meant when I said Nation wide...I just meant all Meijer stores in general. What your saying about the bar code is true, however that is with any form of coupon. We can't stop counterfit couponing. Criminals are always one step ahead. Only thing we can do is try not to use it. Like I said the mfg is not going to pay one store and not the other. It is a mfg coupon. As soon as I find out for sure I will post it so everyone knows. Yes, I could have had a cashier who didn't know what she was doing (that is nothing new, lol) I also could have had a manager who doesn't know what she is talking about. That frustrates me more than anything. I feel if you work somewhere you better know the answers to things you are in charge of. I'm a medical assistant. I can't go to work and say oh I don't think your kid has the flu and not let someone come in....have to let them come in and be check over to find out for sure. I know bad example but Im sure you all know what I mean and I know I am not the only one who gets frustrated by people not knowing what you can and cannot do. |

RE: Meijer Coupon Policy
Just keep in mind step that calling corp....you may talk to 5 people and each will probably have a different answer for you. Also If you call tomorrow could be same thing. And call them next week you may get 20 different answers. FYI. Some may be correct....all may not be correct. And since their "policy" says "guidelines" you have to keep that in mind also..

Walgreens Register Rewards
Not sure where to post it. Noticed people saying they couldn't use their RRs on something good. Well, I did find out an answer about Meijer using RR as vendor coupons. After talking with several managers I ended up talking to one that said yes they take them and pulled out the paper work they just got. They started two weeks ago and from what she said all Meijer will accept other store catalinas (not just Wags)
One manager actually got in trouble bc she told me no they didn't take them and she was suppose to read the report that the info was on. Obviously she didn't read it or she would have known. She also acted like I was trying to get away with something and all I did was ask if I could use it. The cashier told on her not me. I didn't really care. Anyway, they take them at my store so check yours and ask more than one person to get an honest answer. Lots of times they say no bc they don't know and don't want to find out for you.

BOGO and coupons
I was at Meijer's last night and picked up 6 of the Jose Ole taquitos that is on sale this week for half price. I went to I scanned 3 of my $1.00 off coupons (they went ok) and when I scanned the 4th is gave me an invalid coupon. When I asked about it I was told they corrected that in the computer so that you could no longer use a coupon on the "free" item. This was in the North Muskegon, MI Meijer store. In the past I have had major issues with them and the BOGO coupons. I was wondering if anyone else is having issues like this? Can each store put blocks on their computer system to disallow things or would this need to be company wide? Any one know?
I am so confused on this issue. Confused in North Muskegon

RE: Meijer Coupon Policy
I would think it would be company wide far as that but stores do have the right to have unique rules...its terrible.
I have noticed that for a b1g1f even xx off 2 needs to be pushed though. That coupon is valid no matter what the rules bc I am still "purchasing" 2 items. And its no different than combining the store sale with the MQ... I don't see why they are not allowing it when other stores have it written in a coupon policy that 2 coupons are ok on a b1g1. It might just be Meijer making this rule for their stores. I have noticed at my store too that the register will not take it...the cashier has to override .. Let me help you Save

RE: Meijer Coupon Policy
It does make sense. It says on the coupons themselves not to exceed items value-well if it rings up free and you use it then you exceeded the value. If that makes sense? That's what I was told, but then I wonder how Rite Aid or CVS can let you use two $ off coupon against a bogo sale when one rings up free.
