Karate? Does anyone do it?

I'm off to Karate! (its really tae-kwon-do) But called Standale Karate

My boys have been doing it for a year and one month now and I finally got dragged into it! I joined just to be able to help them with their technique. How could I help without knowing the correct way right? Well now I am up for testing for my next rank! woo hoo!

I enjoy this sport so much I was just curious if anyone else participates in Karate themselves or have children that do it.

Today we went a Karate Tournament at Lee High School in Wyoming! Elijah 8 (green shirt) Took Second place in Forums and Second in weapons today!! And Isaiah 4 (black Shirt) Took Third in Forms, Sparring and Weapons today! Yay! Congrats boys! It was a lot of fun! Kevin their friend took 1st in forms and 2nd in Sparring. Good Job boys!

Congratulations to both my boys Eljiah and Isaiah for bringing home 3 first place medals at todays Kicks for Christ Federation Friendship tournament!! Im so proud of you, it was a very long day!

Isaiah who is a 4 year old, green belt in tae kwon do placed first in his age division for forms, weapons and sparring where there was no one in his age so he moved up to the next age group 6-8 year old's. Go Isaiah you are a beast!

Elijah who just turned 9, also green belt in tae kwon do also placed first in his age division for forms, sparring AND weapons performing the double stick form. Way to go Eli!
Elijah also came runner up for the Grand Championship Trophy (had they had a 2nd place) he was outbeat by a 16 year old black-belt for this prize by ONLY one point!!

So proud of you both. What a long day it was but was well worth it!

We are here at the holland civic center for Fabiano's Karate Tournament and couldn't believe our eyes when we realized 8 time world champion Mariah Moore was in the house! We just Had to ask for a pic!
