I’m jealous of my kids teacher!
okay here is the thing ‘Bert’ has started pre -K this year, and is doing good.
No problem what so ever. He behaves good in school and pays attention to the teacher. The thing is though that when I try to teach Bert the same type of stuff at home - he will not behave or give me any attention. He will for his teacher but not me. This is getting on my nerves! I know that this is probably pretty common and stuff. But is there any way to get past this jealous feeling? I just get to feeling so upset when I get thinking that he is so much better behaved at school than at home. How can I get him to act better at home (besides dealing out punishment left and right the whole day through)? Please I just need to be told that this is common and that it happens to everyone and that it will get better with time. |

![]() I noticed the same thing with my 4 year old. He used to LOVE school related things at home, now I can hardly get him to write letters with me. You would think they play more than anything so they should want to engage in more learning. I would say try right before supper. He can get school in, maybe a nap and then play and time for some school related things. And for the weekends scheduling it so they know it is approaching. Its all about timing? Let me help you Save
