Dumpster Diving

RE: Dumpster Diving
now way go in!! ewww!!

there are some bins that r pretty priviet all i do is park my car next to it where it blocks most of the view then pop the trunk , take a look in the bin (hopefully it is at least half full - sometimes all the way full !!)
take my gear out : a 2 step ladder and a baton ( i dont have a grabber thiing yet) and get to work

yes some people have givin me strange looks but most of the time if people come to drop off i just say ' i am just looking for Q' and they leave me alone but if i see people who are just walking by and i dont feel like talking to them then i just talk out loud to my self ' come on Qs'

i have yet to meet up with any resistance

but it has been when i forgot to refill my paper donation pile in my car and with my only stop of that day was to a church up the street and i get there they have 2 bins i did bin 1 which was half full and that i had enough in the donate pile to cover
then i look inside bin 2 and -pay dirt!!- it was FULL so what i did was that i started going through it and putting the discard in the other bin- well i didnt have enough paper donation to cover so i took all the Qs that i wanted and went home did my Q work and made up a shopping list and cleaned off a bookshelf
then on the way to go shopping i payed back with my recently filled donation pile
but i dont want that to happen again so i told the neighbors (who know that i Q dive and who DO NOT collect Qs) that i will take thier paper for them Idea

Ok.. I have now found a few paper gators that are near and not alot of drive bys. Also have a new trick when u just cant reach... I pull up my car as close as possible and stand on the bumper! LOL. I also always keep at least one paper bag full of newspaper in my car. So I return as much as I take....

RE: Dumpster Diving
That is funny about standing on your car Lol3
I usually try to bring a chair but when I just stop for an unplanned coupon trip I just climb up the side Glasses2 It is difficult especially when I am alone but it helps if there are 2 bins there.

You have the trailer list right? Those are fun to be in when its raining lol.
I had about 10 minutes today after getting my 3 year old from preschool waiting for my 7 year old to get out and I passed some paper gators so I stopped knowing I only had a sec. They were very full. I was there less than a minute and it started pouring. Well Let me just say I wasn't dry when I decided to finish! What I will do for a couponLaughLaugh

I can't wait to dress like an Eskimo and have some real fun this winter! Boy those people dropping off papers will not know what to think! Ill have hot chocolate in one hand and coupons in the other!

Although I did splurge and bought 10 papers at Walmart last week 9-27 just bc of all the MM in them! Now if I can find the time to go shopping, oh yea and some razors in stocK!
