Children's Tylenol, Motrin, Other Medications Recalled

Head to your medicine cupboards and start checking out the children’s meds you might have there — the Food and Drug Administration announced today Johnson & Johnson’s McNeil Consumer Healthcare Unit has begun a voluntary recall of various medicines because of manufacturing discrepancies.

Consumers are advised to stop using certain Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec and Benadryl children’s products because some could have too much of an active ingredient. There’s also a chance that some could include small particles and inactive ingredients that don’t meet testing requirements, said the company in a statement.

Included products in the recall: Tylenol Infants’ Drops, Children’s Tylenol Suspensions, Infants’ Motrin Drops, Children’s Zyrtec liquid in bottles and Children’s Benadryl Allergy liquids in bottles.

McNeil adds the chance for serious harm due to using these products is remote, but they should stop being used.

Wow, with all of the McNeil recalls I wonder how they are staying in business..My CVS store still hasn't put any Tylenol for adults back on the shelves

Just called the 1866 number since I had 3 of them. 2 were expired (in Dec.) & 1 was a sample from the Dr. She knew all of this & they are still sending me 3 free coupons for them
