RE: Canning
It's not really the best time for it now, but I get most of mine at rummage and garage sales. Lots of people try canning, and then realize it's a lot of work. I pick up a lot of leftover jars that way. Wink I've even bought brand new lids and bands still in the boxes at garage sales.

RE: Canning
I found a whole display of Ball canning jars and lids at the Lowe's store on clearance. The 12 packs of the jars were something like $4 and the lids were under $1.

Very nice clearance find! Garage sales are a very good idea too!

I need some jars to store my green juice. I just started juicing and LOVE IT. Its SO amazing. I would like to store in the fridge for a day or 2 and I need air tight jars. (seems to work best to preserve the nutrients)

If I am not mistaken canning jars are only airtight after boiling them, Will that work for your Alien Slime I mean Green Juice?

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

You should try the chocolate milk I just made out of carrots and romaine lettuce! yum! Taste like chocolate milk!

I only need mostly airtight enough to hold good for a day or two. I am not boiling these precious nutrients Smile

RE: Canning
I guess they don't want them. Maybe it's generational, people clean out their parents' belongings, and canning was something their moms did, I don't know. I use the smaller ones for making yogurt and I love the white plastic screw on lids they make for them, that sounds like what you need.
