Can I freeze this?
Can I freeze this?
Please ask all questions related to freezing in this thread only. Have you even frozen something and then not had the results intended? Well me personally I peeled and cut potatoes and froze them vacuum sealed only to find they had turned brown and did not look edible. Someone suggested next time try half frying them first. I'm open to more suggestions. Let me help you Save

RE: Can I freeze this?
I think it is perfectly acceptable to freeze yogurt, cheese, butter, tortillas, bread..... there is so much that can be frozen so you can stock up when you determine what price you will pay. I filled my freezer practically free, the potential is amazing.
What other things have you frozen that did or did not turn out so well? Let me help you Save

RE: Can I freeze this?
Has anyone ever frozen the Oscar Mayer Deli Creation subs? I have many $1.00 off coupons and they expire on July 11. The subs do have a long expiration date (I looked when I was at the store the other day), but would like to freeze some if it will still taste ok.

RE: Can I freeze this?
I would think in this case they'd be fine because they don't have anything like lettuce or condiments already on them to get squishy. My suggestion when I'm just not sure about something is to buy one or two, freeze them for a day or two and then try them. If the results are good....all systems go. If not, then you'll know.
If you're able to get them free or almost free and you don't care for how they taste when they're thawed, maybe consider using the rest of the coupons to buy some and donate them to the food banks. I know around here they all have fridges and they love getting things like that because it makes a nice treat for those whom they serve. They won't need to bother with freezing them because the need is so great right now!If you try to freeze them, please post the results so we'll know the outcome! |

RE: Can I freeze this?
I tried freezing bagged baby carrots....don't.
They are edible for cooking only after freezing....FYI. I freeze bread, yogurt, butter, cheese, milk....and all of the other usual stuff..... |

RE: Can I freeze this?
I'd say frozen they are good longer than the use by date. At least a month or two.
