Black friday thread

i am new to the whole black friday shopping thing

i did about 2 stores last year and did good

but now i want to REALLY shop

got any good sites that have early ads - pm me please!!

got any tips on how u shop on that day

what stores do u go to

how would i start going about making up a black friday wish list for people

just please tell me anything and everything that u do with black friday

(and i might have a 4yr old and a 2 yr old in tow!)

#1 rule...........NO KIDS!!!!!

I have shopped every year for the past 5 years...
I also have 2 part time jobs that are retail that I work at on that day. CRAZY DAY! But I love it!

Kids hate it. LONG LINES, people pushing sometimes. Most of the time not....

NO kids!!!!!!!!!! I feel so bad for those kids that have to be there that day. I have seen it. They are not happy....

My day on Black Friday is (every year)
Get up 2:30am-
Leave By 3am
Do all my shopping(Hopefully) By 9:00am
Go to Job #1 9:30am
Work until 5:00pm.
Eat until 5:30pm (and sit) (feels wonderful)
Be to Job #2 by 5:30-5:35pm.
Work until 2am.

SLEEP!!!!!!!!!

They will send you newsletters. But all big corparations keep all there deals hush hush....

On Sunday, Five days prior to BF. You get the paper.... You compair. You can only usually go to 3 to 5 stores before stuff runs out.... NO rainchecks... Make a list of the most important items/ Deals, go there first. Know your store. Ask immedently when you walk in the door where an item is... Dont look for it.. Your wasting time. Be prepared.... Have your paper with you. Where winter gloves and a hat. Long lines out side and it can be cold. Drive safe. Seen an accident right in front of my eyes on 28th st. Waiting outside of Walmart to get in. Get a lot of sleep.. Sometimes hard. Can be very exciting. Coffee is always nice. Have other friends go to other stores for you and buy your items while you buy theres. Travel alone. Be patient.

FYI... Don't ever ever ever go to ABC WAREHOUSE!
Very unorganized! Stood in line for 1 hour and 45 min and did not move. I then put my things on the floor and left.

SHHHH... Got a tip for you... Most people stand in the regualar check out lanes... DONT...
Go to Jewlrey or Electronics counters... SHHHH...
Last year I went to target. The line wrapped around the store twice. Estimated wait time 2 hours....
I went to the Jewlry counter, I was in and out in 30 min...

All this information is so helpful!! I have only ventured out one year for best buy deals and the line was 3 hours just to get into the store!! I will be trying this year. Post any and all deals you find, I will be sure to do the same. I hope we will get a few sneak peeks!!!
