Yes, couponing does require an investment of time, just like anything else. I'd rather invest time now in couponing and strategic saving. Beats having to work several extra years before you can retire because you never took the time to build a nest egg.

You sound like a person with a plan and one that has your head on straight. It is great to have a long term savings plan and there is not much doubt that it will provide benifits over time. The time is the thing that keeps most people from using coupons. Coupons will take a little longer but if you go into it with a plan for filing your coupons you will save all sorts of time clipping coupons We all know time is money so research a filing system at the begining and save a ton of time (money).
