I would LOVE to have a kroger nearby with doubles. Would be good competition for Meijer to start maybe doubling in this area. But I doubt they will bring one bc there was one at clyde park and 28th that shut down like 2 decades ago.

i shop Kroger, love them, mine double up to .50 cents. but i dont do my own match ups sorry...

I saw the duracell post, thanks! I shop at kroger and meijer. Kroger marks their brie down to half price when it gets within days of expiration. When I'm in there, I take note of what that date is so I can swing through again. Last time I stopped in the day before expiration, they hadn't marked them down. So I stopped in the next day - on the expiration day, still full price. I asked the deli people if they'd stopped marking them down. Turns out they just lost track, and since it was the day OF expiration they weren't supposed to be selling them at all. She took a couple (originally $6 each for 7 oz wedges) and marked them down to $1.69 for me. I had dollar off coupons, so I got them for 69 cents each. It's always nice when I can indulge my expensive tastes while still being frugal!
